PAOLA CANTARELLI, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MANAGEMENT (RTD A), JOINS EMBEDS

Paola Cantarelli joins the Institute of Management  and EMbeDS as an Assistant Professor (RDT-A) working in the Management and Health Laboratory.

Her research focuses on the use of behavioral sciences and mainstream work motivation theories to improve management practices in public administration and in healthcare organizations. She uses randomized controlled trials and mixed-method research designs to study public human resources management and decision-making across policy areas, including health care and general administration. She serves as managing Editor for Public Administration Review and co-chair of the Behavioral Public Administration Permanent Study Group of the European Group for Public Administration.

Her peer-reviewed publications appeared in important journals such as Public Administration Review, Review of Public Personnel Administration, International Public Management Journal, and Public Management Review. She holds a PhD in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas (United States) and a Master of Public Administration from the State University of New York at Albany (United States).
